About Us

Our Story

In the late 1960s, my parents opened a small gift shop in St. Clair Shores. The early 1970s saw two major milestones: I was born and their store became a Hallmark gift shop. My mom jokes that I was involved in the business even before I was even born: she was pregnant with me at the Chicago gift show.

From the beginning, the store has always been called Little Green Apple. I love that the name is so welcoming and friendly. My parents ran the business, growing it to a total of four stores, while they raised a family of six kids.

In 1998, I took over the business and have grown it to the over seventy stores we are today. I’m proud to be a second-generation owner, and look forward to having my own kids work with me one day.
